The department of Information Technology established in the year 2007-2008 with an approval intake of 30 students.
The department aims to impart quality education and enabling the students to face the challenges of the Industry.
The Department provides extensive network facilities with different platforms.
All major software packages are available for students to become experts in software application. |

Lab Facilities
An exclusive computer lab is established for the IT department to carry the necessary experiments, specified by Anna University for IT course. All computers are networked and have a Internet facility. The following Labs are available in IT department:

Faculty
The department has a team of experienced, competent, highly qualified and dedicated teaching faculty. The faculties are actively engaged not only in teaching but also in research and development activities in various areas of their study. Also the faculties are sponsored for higher studies to improve their qualification and update their knowledge.

Association activities of IT Department
The students of IT department have formed an association named INFOLOGIA. Through this association various activities like Technical Seminars, Conferences, Paper presentations, Quiz are conducted.
Students are encouraged to take part in various activities organized by other institutions.
The department organizes Guest Lectures, Seminars and Training programs with the help of Engineers and Academicians of national and international repute. This will help the students to keep abreast with the latest development in the field of information technology. Thereby, increasing the awareness about interactive participation and intellectual movement.
