Department of Electronics & Communication
The department was started during the academic year 1996 - 97 with approval from AICTE and affiliation from University of Madras; later from Anna University. This department has impressive range of laboratories.

The department library has an extensive collection of academic books in the areas of latest technologies.

The department has well equipped laboratory
facilities in the areas of DSP, communication systems, radio frequency, advanced microprocessor, digital, fibre optics, microwave engineering. Efficient staff guide students & individual attention is given to students.

Dr. K.O. Joseph, Ph.D, Head of Department
The department has stable, highly qualified and experienced staff members in the staff student ratio of 1:13.

Students are trained both quantitatively and qualitatively during the lab session that enhance their understanding and helps further to motivate them to taking projects and proves as a helping hand to do their projects efficiently.

Practical awareness is inculcated to the students by arranging industrial visits & in-plant training.

Guest lecturers & seminars are held to update their knowledge in electronics and communication engineering.

Personality development programs are conducted to improve student's soft skills.

M.E. Communication Systems
The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering began its Postgraduate Program in Communication Systems in the academic year 2009-2010.

Telecommunication Engineers are involved in establishing communication by means of telephones, telegraphs, radar, radio, radio navigational aids, TV and teleprinters. Communication systems also deal with the recent technologies in the satellite and space communication.

This programme covers various domains like Mobile Computing, Wireless Sensor Networks and Radio Frequency Identification Devices technologies for the graduates of Electronics and Communications Engineering.

Sparkes - Association of ECE
State level symposium and seminars are conducted every year through association. This enables the students to enhance their leadership skills and know the latest developments in their field.
